Both Gospels mention King Herod, but his dates usually do not correspond with the dates of an possible Roman census within the Governor Quirinus mentioned in Luke, which came several years after Herod the Great's death. And what census, then or now, would take you away from your main residence being counted in a town that you choose to or your ancestors have long since left? We demonstrate that although we assume that Joseph is present in the birth of Christ, it's not mentioned in any of the gospels. In truth in line with purification laws outlined inside the Temple Scroll along with the novel of Leviticus, under Jewish law the only real people that appeared to be present in the birth would in fact are women.
